The bridge between possesion and free will is desire.
Therein lies the key to a successful Dominant/submissive relationship. The only way to truly hold on to something precious is to create a desire in them to stay. It is not simply enough to fulfill the needs of an individual, you must also satiate the "wants". You must cater to their desires.
The greater you can arouse their desires, the closer to possession you come. A Master orchestrates his moves to tempt and lure his pet closer and closer to him, till the only thing in her mind, the only thought that consumes her is the moment when he will yet again feed those desires that are burning her from the inside.
This is the great irony in the relationship: to be served, you must first serve the desire of the other.
